Sacramento Pikeminnow are becoming common in the Winters Putah Creek Parkway. The school of Pikeminnow on the left were using a array of large boulders as harbor from a blue heron that was catching small fish. The boulders were placed strategically for bank protection and habitat for fish and riparian wildlife. The restoration project is managed by Richard Marovich. Boulders were placed by Hydromorphologist Rick Poore and Rick Fowler.
